IT Started With Jim

Ridgway & Associates started in 1990 after Jim purchased the rights to the territory. The relationships started long before that. Jim started his career working at a distributor gaining valuable knowledge on both ends of the business. In 1980, he started working for a fellow rep agency covering Montana, Idaho and Wyoming. That experience laid the ground work for him to purchase the terrority and start Ridgway & Associates in 1990. Since then, Jim has built many lasting relationships with distributors and end users. The company still represents many of the lines from the original agreement showing the mutual loyalty between manufacturer and representative.

It Continues with Jason

Jason grew up watching his dad build Ridgway & Associates and was excited to join the team in 2000. After graduating from the University of Montana he made the move to Idaho to open the Boise office and build the Idaho market. He did not stop at Idaho and expanded the agency’s reach to Oregon and Washington in 2010.
In 2021, Jason purchased the business from Jim Ridgway and moved to Bozeman, Montana to continue the legacy of Ridgway & Associates.
